MoMA's Kravis Studio hosts the museum's inaugural presentation of "Lugar de Consuelo (Place of Solace)" by Guatemalan artist Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa. The multimedia work, originally created in 2020, was jointly acquired by the museum in 2022 through both the Latin American and Caribbean Fund and the Fund for the Twenty-First Century. The exhibition encompasses a comprehensive multimedia experience including prints, drawings, theatrical costumes, sculptural elements, and video components. The work engages with the complex political and personal histories of Guatemala, offering a multivalent exploration of these themes.
